At TopSoil Fruits , we are committed to sustainable development, which guarantees a fairer balance at a social level and has a limited impact on the environment. Among the plans we carry out, the following stand out:
A. Water plan
We install automated irrigation and fertigation systems to guarantee sustainable management and optimization of water in our crops. We also have rainwater collection systems to reduce flooding and erosion and can be used for non-potable purposes.
B. Soil plan
We carry out nutritional monitoring and control, with which we manage to avoid contamination of aquifers and damage to the soil structure. Likewise, we make vegetable and polypropylene soil covers to prevent soil evaporation and erosion. In this way, we have managed to save 40% on the cost of fertilizers.
C. Crop protection plan
We managed to achieve a substantial reduction in chemical applications through the use of beneficial insects, which in turn is reflected in a reduction in waste.
D.Energy plan
We invest in the installation of photovoltaic solar panels both in our production centers and in our irrigation heads in the field and we use 100% LED technology.
E. 3Rs Plan
1. Reduce : In recent years we have managed to reduce agricultural plastic and the use of plastic baskets. Likewise, thanks to our digitalization plan, we have managed to reduce the use of paper in the company.
2. Reuse : We reuse 100% of our agricultural plastic, we also use reusable plastic boxes that replace cardboard boxes.
3. Recycle : 95% of our PET plastic packaging is made from recycled R-PET. We have introduced cardboard bags and baskets to replace the plastic basket.
